About usCarbonEquity is a climate change education and advocacy NGO, based in Melbourne Australia. Our starting point is that global warming policies must be constructed within a framework of fully solving the problem. Actions proposed should be doubly-practical: they should deliver tangible results in the real world and they must also fully solve the problem. We need a crash or emergency programme to rapidly decarbonise the economy. Simple price and market mechanism alone cannot drive a sufficiently deep-seated, effective and quick social mobilisation, and carbon rationing and personal carbon allowances are a fair and effective tool for driving the de-carbonisation of our economy. We receive no corporate or government funding, pay no wages and rely entirely on donations and volunteers to pay for research materials and communications. CarbonEquity Phone |
